Toyota has officially opened sales for the 2027 bZ electric SUV, positioning the vehicle as a more accessible entry point into the brand's battery-electric lineup. The SUV is scheduled to arrive at United States dealerships in September 2026.

In the U.S. market, the 2027 bZ starts at $34,980 for the XLE FWD trim. For Canadian buyers, the bZ XLE begins at CA$45,985. Performance and efficiency vary across the lineup; the base XLE FWD offers 165 hp and a driving range of 236 miles, while the XLE FWD Plus extends that range to 314 miles. For those seeking more power, all-wheel-drive (AWD) models are available, pushing the powertrain output up to 338 hp.

Infrastructure Integration

The most significant technical update for the 2027 model is the transition to the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Unlike previous electric vehicles that required third-party adapters to utilize Tesla's network, the 2027 bZ features a built-in NACS charge port. This integration allows owners direct access to the Tesla Supercharger network, which is widely regarded as the most reliable charging infrastructure in North America.
