The new processor arrives in the Mate XT 2, a luxury tri-fold device with a starting price of approximately $2,980 (19,999 yuan). According to the Xinhua News Agency, the Kirin 9050 Pro is the first high-performance processor to utilize what is described as "logic folding technology."

This launch ends a prolonged drought in Huawei's high-end silicon development, the first such milestone since the era of the Kirin 9000.
