Xiaomi Launches 18 Fold in China with In-House 3nm Silicon

Xiaomi has officially launched the Xiaomi 18 Fold in China, signaling a strategic pivot toward a wider, "passport-sized" foldable architecture. The device is currently available for pre-order, with general sales scheduled to begin on September 10.
The new handset is built around a 7.58-inch inner AMOLED display and a 5.38-inch cover screen. In a move toward greater hardware independence, Xiaomi is powering the device with its own in-house 3nm XRING O3 chip. The hardware suite is rounded out by a triple-camera system led by a 200MP main sensor and a 6,000 mAh SiC battery that supports 67W wired and 50W wireless charging. Physically, the device is engineered for slimness, measuring approximately 5.02mm thick when unfolded. Pricing for the device starts at 10,999 CNY, which is approximately $1,639.
