Samsung Leads €3 Billion Mistral AI Funding to Optimize Chip Manufacturing

Samsung Electronics has entered into a strategic partnership with French AI startup Mistral AI to integrate advanced large language models into its semiconductor engineering and manufacturing processes. As part of the agreement, Samsung led Mistral AI's Series D funding round, which totaled €3 billion (approximately $3.5 billion). This investment has pushed Mistral AI's post-money valuation to more than €21 billion. Beyond the financial stake, the collaboration focuses on the deployment of Mistral's flagship "Mistral Large" model and other AI services across Samsung's semiconductor operations.
