Avant Tecno Brings Largest Electric Wheel Loader to North America

Avant Tecno has launched the e727, its largest fully electric articulated wheel loader, marking its push into the North American market with a machine designed to rival diesel performance while eliminating emissions.

Performance Matches Diesel

The e727 delivers a lift capacity of 1,400 kg (approximately 3,000 lbs) with a lift height exceeding 10 feet, competing directly with conventional diesel loaders in its class. The machine is compatible with a wide range of hydraulic attachments for construction, landscaping, snow removal, and material handling applications.

Power comes from a 27 kWh liquid-cooled Avant OptiTemp battery system that provides 5.5 hours of continuous runtime under typical working conditions. For shift work, charging from 10% to 80% takes just over one hour on a 22 kW Level 2 charger.

Smart Transmission System

The loader features Autoshift, a smart automatic two-speed transmission that adjusts gears based on real-time torque and speed. The system optimizes power delivery without operator intervention, addressing concerns about electric equipment responsiveness in demanding applications.

Market Timing

Launching amid volatile fuel prices and growing demand for low-noise equipment in urban environments, Avant positions the e727 as a viable alternative for industries including construction, landscaping, snow removal, and material handling. The transition to electric is driven by both environmental goals and operational cost reductions.

The e727 scales up electrification in the compact loader segment. By matching diesel performance in lift capacity and power while reducing noise and emissions, it lowers the barrier for fleet managers to transition to electric assets, particularly in noise-sensitive urban areas where diesel equipment may face restrictions.
