Juiced Bikes Returns With Scrambler Moto-Style E-Bike Under $2,000
Acquired by Lectric's founders, the rebooted brand launches a custom-engineered, legal high-performance moped bike.
Juiced Bikes has officially returned to the market under new ownership, launching the Scrambler moto-style e-bike. The brand, acquired by Lectric co-founders Levi Conlow and Robby Deziel, is positioning the new model as a high-performance machine that remains compliant with Class 1, 2, and 3 regulations.
The Scrambler is available in two configurations: a Hardtail model starting at $1,699 and a Full-Suspension version. Under the hood, the bike features a 750W nominal rear hub motor capable of 1,764W peak power and 90Nm of torque. Power is supplied by a 52V 19.2Ah (~1,000Wh) battery. To handle this output, Juiced equipped the bike with Star Union Talon P4 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes and KKE inverted forks providing 140mm of travel. A notable safety addition is the "Speed Lock" parental control, which allows users to limit top speeds between 1 and 28 mph via a 4-digit PIN.
A Strategic Reboot
This launch marks a significant pivot for Juiced Bikes, which effectively collapsed in 2024 before its acquisition. The new leadership is moving away from the industry trend of "catalog" builds—where companies assemble generic pre-existing frames—in favor of custom engineering. Austin Gomes, who leads Juiced, stated that the company wanted to maintain the brand's high-performance identity while adapting to modern e-bike legislation. By designing the bike from the ground up, the company aims to balance the aggressive aesthetic of a moped with the legal requirements of street-legal electric bicycles.
Disrupting the Value Proposition
The Scrambler is a direct challenge to established moto-style competitors like Super73 by offering premium hardware at a budget-friendly price point. The inclusion of high-spec components and a 3-year warranty—a rarity for bikes in this price bracket—suggests a strategy focused on long-term value and reliability. By keeping the entry price under $2,000, Juiced is attempting to democratize the "moto-style" experience without sacrificing the build quality typically reserved for more expensive models.
What to Watch
As Juiced Bikes attempts to regain its footing in North America, the market will be watching to see if the custom-engineered approach can scale effectively. While the core specifications are confirmed, the long-term impact of the new ownership's operational strategy remains to be seen. Potential buyers should monitor the availability of the Full-Suspension model and the real-world performance of the custom frame under heavy use.
