RayNeo has released the GT Max, a premium augmented reality (AR) glasses model designed to deliver a professional-grade cinematic experience. The launch marks a strategic shift for the company as it moves beyond lightweight wearables to target the high-end home theater market.

The GT Max distinguishes itself as the first AR glasses kit capable of supporting Dolby Vision playback, a feature enabled when the glasses are paired with the RayNeo Magic Box 2 Dolby Vision Edition. To enhance the visual experience, RayNeo implemented the Peacock Optical Engine 3.0 Max, which provides a 59-degree field of view (FOV). This is a significant increase over the 45-degree FOV typically found in competing devices, reducing the "tunnel vision" effect often associated with AR displays.

Spatial Computing Architecture

Under the hood, the device utilizes a dual-chip architecture to handle complex spatial tasks. The system combines a Vision 4000 image quality chip with a Zone 360 spatial computing chip, allowing for native 3DoF (three degrees of freedom) spatial hovering. This hardware configuration enables the glasses to maintain a more stable and immersive virtual screen in the user's environment.

On the audio front, RayNeo partnered with Bang & Olufsen to tune the device's sound. The glasses feature a quad-speaker setup that supports spatial audio and 360-degree head tracking, aiming to synchronize high-fidelity sound with the visual spatial computing elements.
