VITURE Launches Pro 2 AR Glasses and Mobile Dock Mini for $299

The company's thinnest and lightest XR glasses to date aim to lower the barrier to entry for mobile gaming and computing.

VITURE has released the Pro 2 XR glasses and a companion Mobile Dock Mini to mark the company's fifth anniversary. Launched on August 6, 2026, the new hardware focuses on extreme portability and a significantly lower price point to attract a broader consumer base.

The VITURE Pro 2 glasses are priced at $299, a sharp decrease from the $459 debut price of the first-generation Pro model. Weighing just 63 grams, the device is 20% lighter and 16% thinner than its predecessor. Technically, the glasses utilize Sony micro-OLED displays delivering 1,920 x 1,080 resolution per eye with a 120Hz refresh rate and a perceived brightness of up to 1,600 nits. The hardware includes a 50-degree field of view and built-in diopter adjustments ranging from 0 to -5.00D.

Optical and Accessory Upgrades

To improve visual fidelity, VITURE implemented the "UltraClarity 3.0" optical stack. According to the company, this system enhances image stability, geometric distortion, and field curvature. VITURE claims that sharpness is maintained across the entire display, stating that "straight lines stay straight at any prescription."

Alongside the eyewear, the company introduced the Mobile Dock Mini for $99. This compact USB-C hub and battery pack features a 10,000mAh battery and is 30% lighter and 34% smaller than the original Pro Mobile Dock. Notably, the dock includes a magnetic "Hug Mode" specifically designed to support the Nintendo Switch 2.

Market Implications

By dropping the price to $299, VITURE is positioning itself more aggressively against competitors like Xreal's a01+ and the RayNeo Air 4 Pro. The strategy shifts the focus away from high-end spatial tracking—as the device lacks 6DOF capabilities—and toward comfort and affordability. This move suggests a pivot toward the "screen-mirroring" segment of the market, where the glasses act as a portable, private monitor for gaming and productivity rather than a full AR environment.

What to Watch

As the Pro 2 enters the market, the industry will be watching to see if the lower price point triggers a wider adoption of XR glasses for handheld gaming. While the technical specifications are confirmed, the real-world impact of the UltraClarity 3.0 stack on user eye strain and the seamlessness of the Mobile Dock Mini's integration with next-generation consoles remain the primary points of interest for early adopters.
